Haka Challenge

Based on an ancient Maori dance from New Zealand, the Haka is still used today, including by the New Zealand rugby team. It is a way of expressing grief and joy, a clear message that goes beyond words, in which non-verbal language plays a very important role. The times when it is used vary greatly: fights, warnings, funerals, celebrations, special events and the list goes on. Ecoxtrem suggests that you divide into mini-teams and take part in this unique programme, creating your own haka. You will draw lots for the representative moment that you will transmit in this way, and in the end the other teams, your audience, will guess the message transmitted. You can use dance, words, specific make-up, cheers, shouts and all the expressiveness you can muster. Ecoxtrem trainers will help you throughout the programme with ideas, support you to put your choices into practice through handouts, guidance and technical support and show you videos and photos to inspire you. In the debrief part we will talk about stepping out of your comfort zone, expressiveness, verbal and non-verbal language and of course we will draw great parallels with the business environment, how you communicate with colleagues and how you express your emotions.
