A stressed person, who explodes with anger and becomes slightly aggressive, most likely has assertiveness issues. Theoretical notions and exercises will highlight the harmfulness of passive, aggressive or passive-aggressive attitudes and how they can be overcome through assertiveness.
Assertiveness refers to communication skills, willingness to negotiate a compromise and showing respect for oneself and others. The benefits of its development: effective communication, self-respect, balance, self-confidence, satisfying interpersonal relationships. An assertive person says what they have to say constructively and is able to resolve potential conflicts more easily and at lower personal and organisational cost.
